Critique of Chris Tovani: I Read It, But I Don't Get It

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Chris directs her teacher's expertise to struggling students and other interested readers; even so, beginning and seasoned writers can gain from timely reminders and pointers illustrating how to improve concentration and comprehension. The author advises: "Good readers ask literal questions (of text, bn) to clarify meaning. When these questions don't get answered, it is an indication that the reader needs more background knowledge or is not focused on the text." The author proceeds to establish rules and approaches to remedy poor reading skills and to redirect those with less than adequate attention focus. According to reports, present classroom reading skills are below par for most grade levels and require remedial teaching in today's technological climate.

We paraphrase one important observation: It is important to stop and think about what you have already read. Most students are prone to ignore this strategy. Yet, this is one great and useful fix-it maneuvers. Good readers ponder things they have read. They connect newly acquired knowledge with information already intercepted. Stopping and thinking gives readers time to test and absorb new information. The exercise allows readers to ask questions, visualize, and evaluate the important points raised. This advice is not more relevant than in biblical caballa studies. Most Bible students hurriedly read the difficult prose and do not intercept context nor remember facts already studied. Small wonder then, parishioners with forty or fifty years of repeated study cannot answer the simplest question. Example: who claims adherence to one of the following: amillennial, premillennial, or postmillennial? Why?

In a time when students need increasingly sophisticated reading skills, Tovani's book provides support for teachers who seek to incorporate comprehension skills into their daily lesson plans without sacrificing content coverage. Reading this book should greatly assist remedial students and those at the very beginning of their reading life.

We should add: bad or below-par reading habits are not confined to the classroom; mankind has long suffered from poor reading and comprehension habits. Evidentially, reading comprehension is poorest among those confused by charges and countercharges in the metaphysical debate. Here, mankind throws all caution to the wind and substitutes belief for knowledge: that is, he shuns the Edenic tree so enlightening to Adam and Eve and now available to all. But since the advent of knowledge, would it not seem apropos to partake of that fruit once forbidden but now open to all?

In this regard, we address knowledge as it might emit from a proper evaluation of ancient usage and not the use so commonly evolved. Who would have thought 'cool' to mean other than a degree of temperature somewhere between hot and cold? Thus, we learn what was once an accepted and limited meaning can change in a mere lifetime. Therefore, we are well-advised to exercise caution when perusing ancient text.

Accepted definitions in today's dictionary are markedly different from the dialectal limitation extant at the millennial change from B.C to A.D. Example: Gentile then and gentile today defines very differently. Millenniums then and millenniums today are far apart in quantitative measure. Biblical grace then and biblical grace now are miles apart in applicative concept. Ten Covenant Ages then and today's a-covenant age is without comparison. These are only a few examples of tradition's poor reading skills and contextual grasp. Our culture cannot seem to hold one interpretative fact long enough to develop another. Watch for more error notations marking mankind's failure to 'Stop And Think About What You Have Already Read.' We owe ourselves to be informed, to cultivate comprehension, to separate the wheat from the chaff in today's information barrage, and to keep a weary eye on political, commercial, and religion enducements!

Advanced studies on comprehension of cabbala intent are available for those with the need to know.

Ben Winter, particles physicist, Bible scholar, and author of "THE GREAT DECEPTION: Symbols And Numbers Clarified," reveals there 'is' something new under the sun -- that is, for modern Bible students. He addresses correctness of language and true intent of the major Bible topics: solves Bible mysteries, defines Gog and Magog, reveals Daniel He-goat's surprising identity, and dares to number the all important Ten Ages. The need to learn Asian languages is growing because more and more businesses are shifting their focus to Asia. This brings about the need to interact with people here in their respective regional languages as such interaction can bring about better understanding. The easiest way to get started with learning an Asian language is by using learning software.

There are quite a few learning software packages available. Key points to check up when you are considering any particular software is the teaching methodology, the number of languages taught and the depth of learning that is provided through the software. One software package that quite popular is the Rocket Languages Software. You can learn various languages through it like Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese Mandarin. The approach is through multimedia and the lessons covered enable the learner to assimilate through hearing first and concentrates on building vocabulary so that the language foundation is strong.

The innovative aspect about this software is that is includes vocals from local speech, and this gives an idea of a how a word is spoken normally. This software enables you to learn a multitude of Asian languages in a short while.

Asian languages are different because of their sounds, large vocabulary enriched by thousands of rich and colorful cultures and histories. Review of Intro to EM Book by Griffiths

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Introduction to Electrodynamics is a great course in electromagnetism written by great David J. Griffiths. He writes about electromagnetism in a concise, easy style, and, as a rule, tries to create a physical picture of the ideas explored before delving into the underlying mathematics used to describe them. The discussion is accompanied by many examples and exercises that definitely help the readers apply the material they've learned. This textbook is definitely counts as one of the really good ones when it comes to beginner introductions to electrodynamics and will serve as a great reference for years to come.

This textbook presumes that the reader has knowledge of elementary calculus, but introduces to the reader the ideas of vector analysis which form the necessary mathematical background to learn from most of the book. This is the most well-received introductory textbook on electricity and magnetism, and has won that eminence by being an uncomplicated, educational and thorough introduction to topic. The introduction to the mathematics is extremely useful, not only for applying the physics but also for learning applied mathematics and for learning other branches of physics and understanding the basis of the mathematics used. This introduction actually does a better job of explaining vector mathematics than most other textbooks used in undergraduate calculus studies - those specifically written for this subject - that's how clear Griffiths is!

The foremost concern about the text is that the solutions to the book's exercises are only found in the instructor's handbook. This introduction is a marvellous complement to an undergraduate-level| electrodynamics class and a wonderful reference on the subject matter, but somebody self-learning from the book might not be able to solve all of the end-of-chapter problems without access to the solutions or a knowledgeable mentor as guide. But, it's good to know that the elemental problems can be simply untangled with the guidance of the in-chapter examples. Basically, if you have access to the solution manual of even if you do not, you will get the material. If you need it, you can find help on internet discussions and forums, from a mentor by thinking about things on your own for a little longer than usual.

Introduction to Electrodynamics is the best introductory text to electromagnetism there is and a fantastic beginning for anyone interested in understanding the subject. I strongly suggest purchasing this text for your course if it is required and even if it is just a recommended book - you will use it many times. For the amateur, I do recommend this text if you want to solve puzzles and understand the workings of electricity & magnetism in a mathematical way.

A reflective paper on Book Review

Introduction
This paper expresses the in-depth understanding from the book review exercise and critically reflects on the learning and experiences of the process. It discusses about author, summary of book and Learning, critique, reflection on group work, reliability of individual leadership, communication skills, presentation challenges, self-learning and conclusion. The paper also throws light on my own and as well as group work reflections.

About Writer and Book
The book named "Values for Educational Leadership" by: Graham Haydon published in 2007 by SAGE, is reviewed by our group of six members as a part of Pedagogical Leadership (PL) course offered in Master of Education. The author is lecture of philosophy in University of London.

Summary of Book and Learning
In this book, the author describes values and their places in educational leadership, educational aims for moral purposes, the value of the individual leader, the vision in education, school ethos and culture and finally, the values for community and democracy in educational leadership. Author has expressed a way based on philosophical approaches to values, in order to encourage practitioners to examine their academic practices, make the connection to leadership. The author gives a clear picture about the nature of values in first chapter he points out that values can make a difference to work of educational leaders. My understanding about this portion is that, values are important and author invites to think about values such as value implicated decisions. The second chapter defining values, aims and purposes, morals author utilized different models with references form Fullan (2003) studies. My learning is that leaders in education need to be able to think about these moral various possible purposes. Then the author concentrates on individual leadership and suggests that the good leaders have some characteristics of positive mind, clarity of thought, interpreting skills, supportiveness, teamwork skills and respect for people. From this chapter my learning mirrors that, to be a good educational leader one must have sense of responsibility moral aims for working in a school, system or organization. Discussing about the vision the author describes four aspects: interpreting vision, facing challenges, sharing the vision and find an alternative vision within the vision. Eventually, the author discusses about the context, culture, and community of school. I appreciate the author's ideas that first vision must be there, in any educational setup. Then, it is function of leader that how does he/she looks into the matter.

According to my understanding, systemic change is required to change the school culture when I reflect on the chapter of school ethos. The author suggests ways to educate the leaders to be value oriented will help teachers to become a leader. In addition, he argues that the individual character is directly related to social norms and values. This mirrors me that values are significant across the present culture of school, the leader must decide ways according to the school culture to implement the positive change.

My critique
The author has handled the book in a decent way. However, selecting six different themes it makes much complex to understand this book easily. Looking into organization of book connection in ideas is found. However, a collection of philosophical definitions have overshadowed authors own point of view and synthesis. Moreover, the author has focused on leadership as a position and has prescribed ways to educate the leaders to be value oriented in the tasks. He did not talk about impact of ethical standings and moral preferences of society on leadership. I reflect this, keeping my context in my mind as the book is written for Western context and one has to be careful about value judgments.

Reflection on Group work
The given task was a group work, therefore, our group worked and planned together for the whole process of the book review. In the initial meeting, we developed some group rules for the group in order to ensure each member's participation. We distributed the tasks among each other. The book review helped a lot our group to reflect on changing aspects of educational leadership. The Teamwork was evident in our group because all those members who had previous experience of book review shared their understanding with other members of the group. Consequently, each member of our group developed the understanding about the book. I understand that teamwork is essential in any type of career, and by doing group work tasks while still in school will continue to help me prepare for my future. Eventually, the presentation preparation work itself turned out to be a great learning experience for every member of my team, including myself.

I will further reflect my learning within or outside the group work as:

Communication Skills
Communication is also a key to a successful team. If a person is reluctant to communicate with the rest of the team, his or her ideas will not be expressed in a completed work. I feel that in small teams like we had, it helps a hesitant person become involved in doing practice to make it perfect. I believe that every person's opinion is important in running a team, and I tried my best to get every person's input before a final decision is made. Overall, I learnt that the communication skills or clear voice is a big benefit for group work, where one critiques or encourages the other's ideas. I was given task critically look at presentation work and compilation. This task improved my critical thinking skills and communication skills.

The Presentation Challenges
The presentations presented by each team member in front of the class proved to be a good experience. However, people have different attitudes while presenting like as: loudly or slowly speaking. I reflect myself that throughout the presentations, some passive speakers like me get experience in speaking in front of people. I learned that during presenting I should turn my face to audience rather than watching the slides because, reading the slides is not a good practice for presentation. After rehearsal of presentation every member was ready and prepared in presentation skills. I learned that practice is the only way to become comfortable and perfect in front of people.

Reliability of Individual leadership in my own context
The author suggests the characteristics of good individual leader in this book. To reflect on my experiences, I have some exposures regarding leadership practices in my career such as I am only male teacher in my school who encourage other teachers for team work, supportiveness and for respecting one another to become a successful personality. The book enabled me to understand individual leadership concept and to reflect me on my own practices of leadership. Individual Leadership is one of the distinct styles of leadership, which focuses on capacity building in school. (MacNeill, et. al, 2003).

Conclusion
In general, Book review is a stirring exercise to reveal a thoughtful learning. Working in group develops the sense of shared leadership. Similarly it improves our leadership skills. It has been a great team building experience for me, and I learned the dynamic collaborative work, to help one another, the aspects of individual leadership improved critical and communication skills and also to deal with challenges which arose during this exercise.

Group work
Group work can help students to become more active in their learning (Ruel and Bastiaans, 2003). When working with peers in a group, students are encouraged to articulate their ideas and question the ideas of others. When it works, this leads to a social process of constructing ideas and developing possible solutions to problems. Hendry et al. (1999)

Educational Leadership
Effective leaders manage the process: they help the group decide how to work efficiently, and monitor the group's progress in relation to the intended plan. They should not merely lead the group toward their own desired outcome. Thus, a good leader is an excellent listener and is also prepared to re-evaluate his or her own opinion on a topic.

Pedagogical Leadership
Pedagogical leadership is all about developing humans in a school and helping them to be caring to each other as a community and curious to learn at all times. According to Sergiovanni (1998), "Pedagogical leadership develops human capital by helping schools become caring, focused and inquiring communities within which teachers work together as members of a community of practice" (p.37).

The Myth of Alzheimer's - A Review

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Is Alzheimer's disease just a myth and the resulting brain degeneration caused by aging and affected by lifestyle conditions and choices? That is a question posed by neurology, geriatrics, dementia and cognitive science expert Peter J. Whitehouse, MD, Ph.d. in his book, The Myth of Alzheimer's. This ground breaking book asks the questions that so many early diagnosed patients and their families ask about dealing with the condition.

While Whitehouse was instrumental in developing and testing pharmaceuticals - prescription medications - to treat "Alzheimer's disease" for over 30 years, in 2007, he had an "awakening" of sorts that made him question the true intent of pharmaceutical companies. His goal with the book is to not only influence the pharmaceutical industry in the way they do business, but also to hopefully guide baby boomers in their aging process and health care professionals in diagnosing and treating brain aging.

The myth Whitehouse describes is that of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) being a singular disease with no one biological profile of the condition. Natural aging in one person has the same biological hallmarks in one diagnosed with AD. Since we don't have the biological markers to actually diagnose AD, even those people who are stated to have it can only be deemed "probable." The concern he has is that there is a promise of "curing" AD, although it may be nothing more than accelerated brain aging. Prevention first and the care for those diagnosed are where dollars should be invested are his points. All of our brains are aging and the fear of AD, along with the hope of a cure are merely mythical.

Part one and two of the book expose some of the unsound clinical, political and scientific framework of AD and describe why it is so difficult to treat or "cure" the condition. He encourages the view of AD as a "changing of self" that must be addressed by the individual and his family as we are aging. Whitehouse proposes that the term Alzheimer's, named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer for his cases from 1901-1906, distorts our expectations and understanding of the human brain. Dr. Alzheimer treated the first documented sufferer of AD, a 51 year old woman with problematic symptoms that Dr. Alzheimer described with "Cause of illness: Aeriosclerosis" and "Form of illness: simple mental disorder."

Part three offers sound advice and preventive measures to reduce the risk cognitive aging. Whitehouse helps to identify those who need a prescription for memory loss. He describes the ten "symptoms" used by the Alzheimer's Association for needing attention and possibly medication, and then helps the reader decide what is "normal" on each symptom. A guide to visiting with a physician about AD is offered with suggestions for questions to ask and what to expect. The final part of the book offers excellent suggestions in the way of food and nutrition, exercise, environmental factors, limiting stress and building a cognitive reserve.

This book is well written and easy to read - with the text broken up with paragraph headings, lots of bullet points, photos and drawings, and plenty of out-takes boxed in. Individual stories of patients labeled with Alzheimer's are included to bring the points home. If only the masses would pick up this book before being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, they will be well-served in the future.

The mission of At Guardian Angel is to provide information that is relevant to those who wish to age in their own homes rather than transition to an assisted living facility. Information regarding Alzheimer's disease and aging in place can be found at http://www.issueswithalzheimers.com/ and http://www.issueswithaging.com/

Solar Energy for Mother Earth

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Solar energy from the sun's heat radiation is just one of the many renewable energy sources that are the subject of current global technological research and development. The harmful effects of the use of petroleum-based fuel to power vehicles and electric generation and distribution plants have prompted governments to take on a more serious look at their energy policies. Aside from solar energy, other renewable energy sources that can be used in lieu of fossil fuel are secondary solar-powered resources such as biomass, hydroelectricity, wave and wind power.

Solar electricity generation from solar power (sunlight) are of two types - by use of heat engines and/or photovoltaics (PVs). Sunlight may be collected onto solar panels which may be used directly as electricity with photovoltaics technology. Photovoltaic cells or solar cells are devices that directly covert light into electrical energy. Concentrated solar power (CSP) systems are heat engines that concentrate or focus large area sunlight, using lenses and mirrors (heliostats) with an installed tracking mechanism to follow and maximise sunlight catch, into a powerful small beam to bring to boil and produce solar hot water used in generating electric power much like that produced from geothermal power plants.

The increasing prices of oil products and their adverse effects on the environment associated with its refinement process and commercio-industrial trading and utilisation raised socio-economic and political concerns among governments and economies. Many, in their energy policy redirection, have encouraged use of renewable energy sources, notably solar energy that are cost-efficient in the long term. But up until the present, very few individual homes use solar power for domestic electrical use as the cost of acquisition or building and installing solar cells/panels outweigh its attractiveness as a "clean air" or "green" energy to the average homeowner in terms of immediate initial payoff.

Persistent research, studies and application of innovative technology in the renewable energy sector has optimistic promise of reducing the acquisition cost of solar power system installations in the near future even for the micro- and small-scale market sector that includes homes, small businesses and village walkway lighting systems (with individual or cluster electricity-generating solar panels and photovoltaic cells).

The thought of cleaner and fresher atmospheric air, greener surroundings with real and healthy trees is a vision that every citizen of this planet must etch in his heart and mind. We should all participate in the mission of chasing away the harsh scenario of global warming developing into "global boiling" that is sure to annihilate all of humankind.

Save mother Earth! It is the only "home planet" we know in the whole universe!

Parents take a lot of pleasure and delight when selecting children's books for their kids, especially if they are classic books. Parents are like walking down memory lane as they go through piles of books and remember their own childhood when they also look forward to reading their own books.

So how should you choose children's books?

Bright and Colorful

Children are naturally fun and active. However, they easily lose interest and attention if they are doing a particular activity for a long time. It's the same thing with reading. You need to capture their attention and keep them long enough to enjoy the books in front of them. Bright and colorful children's books are guaranteed to catch their attention. Dr. Seuss books are classic examples of books that create visual impact on children. They have vibrant colors and illustrations that are really meant to capture the kids ' attention.

Good story

Do not underestimate a child's capacity to understand; good stories are really appreciated by children especially if they make them laugh a lot. Select children's books that are well-written, funny, and, as much as possible, those that teach good moral and values. Parents should utilize books not only to entertain but to educate them children as well. It's worthwhile to note that children learn more in a fun environment. So when you they enjoy the books that you read to them, they are likely to pay more attention and learn more in the process.
Engaging and with good recall

Children have very good imagination and they just love children's books that challenge their creativity and imagination. As such, you should choose books that are very engaging; those that ask questions or allow the children to participate in story-telling are very much recommended.

These days, there's what we call personalized children's books where the name of your child can appear as the main character of the book. This will be thrilling for the kids who can really feel like they're real princesses or super heroes.

When you're able to choose the right books, remember that parents also have important roles to play in making such children's books valuable to kids. Make story-telling a regular bonding activity with your kids. Aside from bedtime stories, you can set aside a specific time of day or specific day of the week when you will just read books to your children. This way, your kids will have something to look forward to and will associate reading with fun and excitement.

Review-A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners (Keith Folse)

Keith Folse's A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners is an aptly-named resource for teachers who seek to become more comfortable assessing the English-language skills of students for whom English is a second or other language. Every activity and test is presented in such a way that it can easily be implemented in the classroom; the theory presented is a supplement to, rather than replacement of, practical instruction. Coombe, Folse, and Hubley emphasize the following criteria for developing effective assessments when working with ESOL students: usefulness, validity, reliability, practicality, washback, authenticity, transparency, and security.

A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners is divided into ten chapters, which are logically arranged and organized in a way that teachers will appreciate both for the quality of the content and the ease with which information can be accessed. Separate chapters are devoted to assessing students ' skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English. Depending on what a teacher needs at any given time, he or she may find that only one or two of these chapters will serve the purpose at hand. Indeed, each chapter could stand alone as a useful resource for teachers who seek information on assessment of specific language skills, or the techniques described therein can be combined if that is what is called for. This contributes to the flexibility of A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners, which teachers can adapt for their own purposes to best suit the courses they are teaching and the students they seek to help.

Placement testing, including the commonly-used tests TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment), is covered in A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners, as are test-taking strategies for students preparing for such examinations. At the end of each chapter is a list of "Ten Things to Remember," which is very helpful for summarizing key points and reiterating. For teachers who are looking for information quickly, this is a handy tool to find answers to pressing questions, more detailed explanations of which can of course be located within the preceding chapter.

Using A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners, teachers can develop strategies for both creating and using effective evaluative tools. As promised by the title, it is written with a straightforward, no-nonsense style that includes insightful observations and useful tests and activities that can easily be used in the classroom.

Since your childhood, you have been an inquisitive person who went deep to the core of a thing to look for answers. So, when you came to know about Dimensions, you had instantly become too curious to gather more information about it. You appear to be very excited and thrilled at the idea that you will know one of those things that was total unknown to you.

However, your dream appeared to be dying a slow death when you eventually realized you hardly had information about it. It was not as if you had not tried to know more about it. You still remember how fanatically you had placed few calls to some of your friends hoping they will be helpful in this regard. It was only after you had placed these calls to them that you realized what a grave mistake it was to think they would be of great use to you. On the contrary, you started to appear more puzzled and confused ever since you had called them. It is not surprising to note you had to meet these circumstances. There are many who often do same error in their haste to collect necessary information. Instead of taking their own initiatives to derive whatever information they want,,most of these people get tempted to use a short cut in believing in these hearsay and half baked truths. Remember - whenever you take this short cut route for your purpose, you will never attain success in your goal. Instead, a better approach should be to take full hog and always be ready to walk that extra mile. Now don't start to assume that you might have to follow a tedious regime of walking for hours. You should know, here these words have been used literally and you just require to take extra efforts and measures in you aim to collect these information.

For instance, if your ultimate requirement is to gather some valid information on say, Primary curriculum, you may choose to take help from a newspaper. You may take either a local or a national newspaper for this purpose. Once you are done with your daily dose of knowing all those numerous events taking place in this world, you will require paying greater attention to those adverts that normally appear in an adverts column in a newspaper.

Therefore, if you are looking for some information on say Creative learning, you can make use of these adverts for this purpose. Pay greater attention at these adverts and you will come to know some vital and crucial information like say telephone number or numbers. You should not hesitate to call at these numbers. These are, in fact, dedicated telephone numbers especially designed for customers like you, recipient of your call will give answers to all the queries that you might pose. Once you are sure you have all the answers that you have been waiting for, you can go ahead and make your decision.

What is Life? A Critical Analysis on book of Erwin Schrodinger and Its Philosophical Significance

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

What is Life?

We all know that a life is born on Earth, grows, multiplies and finally stops all its activities by the process called death. For a common man, LIFE means the activities between birth and death whereas actually it is not so, as will be seen in this article. Also, for our article, let us consider human life for discussion because humans have the unique property called Intelligence, popularly known as the sixth sense. By virtue of this special capacity, man does not stop with the processes of birth and death but goes beyond that by conducting research about the origin of life.

In fact, life consists of three parts.

1. Life before Birth which should be rightly called, "Status of Life before Birth"

2. Life during the period covering birth to death and

3. Life after death i.e.: status of Life after death"

Let us consider all the above three aspects both in scientific and philosophical points of view.

1. Status of Life Before Birth:

What is the status of life before birth? For knowing this, one should be able to visualise a status beyond space, time and conservation laws. It is only during birth life enters the material Universe, which essentially consists of space, time and conservation laws. One more activity of life is THOUGHT which has created the Universe around him in which he is living. Discussions about all these aspects are reserved for future and what we are discussing here involves only the physical aspects of life. Naturally before birth, life is devoid of any physical matter. But all the plans are already coded in a plane above the material Universe which is activated during birth according to the secret code already inscribed.

A. Concept of MASTER INTELLIGENT PLAN is proposed by the author of this article,. Inasmuch SPACE and TIME belong to material Universe, INTELLIGENCE belongs to a plane ABOVE the material Universe. The fact that life is continuously generated in various forms of living beings leads us to think that there should be a plane which stores all the secrets of life. That generator should contain the entire genetic code in a subtle form. That plane is named as MASTER INTELLIGENT PLAN, implying that the secret code is inscribed in the form of a PLAN which will unfold in course of time as life proceeds.

In the opinion of this author LIFE is not much different from INTELLIGENCE. In other words only intelligent beings 'live', man possessing the highest form of intelligence. That intelligence is in the form of a master plan with various genetic codes imprinted in it. That Master Intelligent Plan (M.I.P) is behind manifestation of life, maintenance and all the behaviour we see on Earth.

Like computers, master intelligent plan is also binary in nature. (Or is it the other way? Let us give a thought over this). Matter is Ordinary state, and Life is an excited state. Matter, due to various reactions, chemical and physical, is able to touch the lifeline which is none other than the Master Intelligent Plan and life is formed. These reactions in micro level cause individual life and at macro level cause evolution. This is a simple treatment of how Intelligence enters life from Master Intelligent Plan to life during birth.

B.Concept of 'Aperiodic' Crystal Introduced by E.Schrodinger in His Book "Book of Life"

The above paragraph dealt with how Intelligence entered life. Regarding the material aspects of life causing physical body, the concept of 'aperiodic' crystal was introduced by E.Schrodinger to define the basic element creating life. He envisaged an element which is not classified by periodic table, hence beyond material perception, and it contained genetic information in its configuration of co-valent bonds. Later, scientists who discovered DNA acknowledged that Schrodinger's aperiodic crystal was the fore runner for DNA which carried the genetic code for generations. A study about RNA and DNA will make it very clear how the genetic codes imprinted in the Master Intelligent Plan are carried over generation after generation.

2. Life During Birth to Death:

A: Bio-chemical Theories of Life:

The protein making machinery of a cell acts as the spring of all bio-chemical reactions and it is known as the Living State. (According to Prof Late R.Balasubramanian I.I.T, Chennai). The D.N.A molecules change through mutations and are instrumental in producing proteins, which determine the biochemical characteristics. The complex machinery uses existing proteins for synthesising further proteins. A large R.N.A is the key molecule in the protein synthesising mechanism.

The basis for this building mechanism is the secret code imbibed by the Master Intelligent Plan, as mentioned in the foregoing paragraph.

B: Concept of Entropy and Negative Entropy (as discussed by E.Schrodinger):

In fact, the concept of Negative Entropy is one which has given a new dimension to the study of what is life. Let us see first what the definition of Entropy is. The term entropy is not new to a graduate student of Physics. It is a thermodynamic term which means unavailability of a system's energy to work. A decrease in energy availability is accompanied by an increase in entropy. All irreversible processes in a closed system are thus accompanied by increase in entropy. Schrodinger takes up the popular idea that the increase in entropy is a measure of DISORDER. The entropy of the Universe is progressively increasing and hence the disorder continues increasing as well. This applies to all the systems in Universe till an EXTERNAL AGENCY interferes and reverses the direction. That external agency in the form of energy converts entropy as NEGATIVE ENTROPY by giving fresh supply of energy, thus converting disorder to order. Hence entropy brings disorder, negative entropy brings order. Schrodinger applies this simple mechanism to life.

In other words, it is the mechanism by which any organism sucking orderliness from its environment is able to live and the vast Universe is the agency which supplies that orderliness. That process is called intelligent living and any intelligent living being gets its supply of negative entropy (ORDER) from the surroundings. The most powerful supplier of order for living organism is the SUN which provides all the support for maintenance of life.

B1: An Example of ENTROPY (Disorder) and NEGATIVE ENTROPY (order):

As discussed in the above paragraph, when entropy increases disorder increases. In fact it is unidirectional like the time arrow. Even the Sun which supplies enormous energy in the Solar system is affected by this law and one day it may also die due to the process called Heat death. However the living objects circumvent the above law by deriving negative entropy (order) from the universe surrounding it.

Intelligence is the cause which helps the living beings to draw that order. For example a disease may be classified as entropy whereas the medicine that man has discovered to cure it gives order which helps him to prolong his life. Even ordinary food, sunlight etc provide such power to derive order. We shall see an illustration from medicine to highlight how the concept of negative entropy nullifies disorder.

B2: Example of Penicillin as Supplier of Negative Entropy:

The concept of negative entropy as a supplier of ORDER can be applied to MEDICINE taking the disease as DISORDER and cure as order. We shall consider PENICILLIN for the purpose of explaining the above.

The DISORDER is caused by gram positive bacteria including those causing syphilis, meningococcal meningitis, gas gangrene, pneumococcal pneumonia, and some staphylococcal and streptococcal infections. Penicillin is effective against such disorders in many cases. The class of penicillin that includes ampicillin andamoxillin with clavulanate is against gram positive and gram negative bacterias such as Haemophilias' influenza which effectively cures the disease.(More details may be obtained from books on medicine on this topic)

B3: Co-Meditation as Supplier of Negative Entropy:

Sometimes even a psychological support will bring in necessary energy to bring back order. In this regard, the saying of J.Krishnamurti, the world famous Indian Philosopher (1896-1987) is quoted as follows:

Krishnamurti with a dying patient:

Quote: He (the dying patient) said, "I'm dying. Disease, Incurable. And I'm frightened" So I (J.K) sat with him and held his hand, and said "Let us die together" "If there is any kind of attachment. I'll die with you. You are free of attachment. Unquote.

This is what Ramana Maharishi did for his dying mother. Several Christian preachers perform this co-meditation for the dying patients.

Co-meditation brings peace to the dying patients by infusing enormous energy which is otherwise known as 'negative entropy' in physical plane.

However death is certain for organisms. In course of time, the living being loses its power in drawing the order and finally ceases to exist which process is known as Death.

Hence, creation by the Master Intelligent Plan, maintenance by providing Order and destruction by death goes on endlessly and the Universe never ceases to exist.

B4: RELIGION: BHAGAVAT GITA on Negative Entropy:

When seeds are sown, it is essential that they should be properly fertilised. In addition to that, the weeding out process also is to be carried out. In practical life, if unscrupulous people become a majority, the world will be totally ruined. How to compensate this disorder and bring disorder?

Lord Krishna, in Bhagavat Gita says: "Whenever Dharma (ORDER) decreases and Adharma (disorder) starts ruling, in each and every such age (YUG), I shall manifest myself in action, I shall annihilate the evil and establih the good. (Verse no 8, chapter IV).

If one understands the reality behind this verse, he need not worry that the Universe will come to an end one day whereas the Truth is that it will remain there forever.

What more we want to define the concept of Negative Entropy which E.Schrodinger brought out in his book?

3. Status of LIFE After Death:

Religious leaders and scriptures have told in various ways that there is death only for the physical body but the scheme behind it known as SOUL never dies. Hindu Philosophy has put a KARMA theory stating that as per the Karma (acts) done in this birth, the life goes to the next birth. Without going to the merits or demerits of the above, let us see how a life goes to future lives.

It is the firm conclusion of the author that life can travel only through the secret code written in GENES, transmuted from Master Intelligent plan through RNAs and DNAs. There is no other way for life to travel. The genes are transferred during life itself to the future generations. The onward transmission of DNA and RNA by reproduction constitutes the transformation of life into future lives carrying over the genetic codes.. On one hand, a new born baby has life due to the genes inherited, and on the other, it improves its intelligence through various experiences and knowledge gained due to education etc. during its life period. During its life period it transfers that code by further reproduction.

There is no death for the secret codes inscribed in the genes. They are carried over generations after generations and live eternally.

In other words, transformation of CODES from the MASTER INTELLIGENT PLAN is BIRTH, Transformation due to various experiences is LIFE and carrying them over to future generations may be called Re-birth.

CONCLUSION:

In this article, we saw the following points:

1. Various genetic codes are inscribed in the minutest form in a process called MASTER INTELLIGENT PLAN.

2. They are transferred to intelligent life through aperiodic crystals (as propounded by E.Schrodinger) which were known later as DNA and RNA molecules.

3. Living beings improve upon the organism by gaining more and more intelligence and drawing order from environment known as Negative Entropy. (E.Schrodinger). for this examples were given starting from medicine, co-meditation, as well as the Bhagavat Gita and Holistic Philosophy.

4. The genetic codes never die and they are carried over to future generations and the process continues for ever.

Algae Based Biofuel Production: The New Wave Of Green Energy

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

The "green" trend has been around since the 1970s, when an OPEC boycott, gas rationing, and spiking prices called into question our reliance on oil. The creation of suburbs and expansion of cities led to increased numbers of large, gas-guzzling cars on the road, and air pollution was growing more prevalent, begging the question, "How can we find inexpensive, clean, renewable energy?"

Enter the Biofuel Revolution. Biofuel is any fuel produced from biomass, or organic material. The challenge is to produce biofuel from biomass that can be renewed, so that it won't tap out as a fuel source the way oil reserves will. With recent gas price hikes and the number of SUVs and inefficient fuel-burning vehicles on the road today, the issue of biofuel production is once again at the forefront. Some recent biofuels, such as ethanol, have met with limited success: Yes, ethanol waste is mostly water and ethanol is cheap. But the amount of land and energy that goes into planting, maintaining, and harvesting corn for ethanol, on top of ethanol production, make it much less environmentally-friendly than previously thought. Plus, there are ethical considerations about growing fields of food crops just for biofuel production.

Energy investors today are putting efforts into a new solution: algae based biofuel production. Algae use sunlight, ocean and wastewater to grow, and produce oil that is then harvested. The amount of oil that can be produced for biofuel from 15,000 square miles of algae farms is estimated by the US Department of Energy to be enough to replace all petroleum-based fuel in the country. That statistic is astounding: algae based biofuel production would use less than one-seventh of the land dedicated in the US to corn production, and would produce up to 100 times more energy per square mile. Algae are also biodegradable, and unlike petroleum, are relatively harmless if spilled. Best of all, algae don't require high-quality soil, so farms producing algae could use land unsuitable for food crops.

With the discovery of clean algae based biofuel production, what is holding back the market? The answer is the same as with many biofuels of the past: High prices. Capital investments to set up a farm are costly. In time, these investments will be recouped and prices will drop, however. And with oil prices rising steadily, green biofuel may be competitively priced sooner than we thought. Good news for green energy.

From clean energy to green technology, Alexander Sutton is involved with a number of green endeavors and wishes to spread awareness about environmentally friendly issues. For more information, please visit Algae Based Biofuel Production.

Exposing Your Children To Educational Books

One cannot undermine the importance of reading in a child's education. That's why educational books are important as they help increase a child's vocabulary and awaken his interest to learn more. Reading is the first step and the basic foundation for a child to perform well in school. When a child develops love for reading, learning other things becomes a lot easier. It is, therefore, important for parents to get the children's interest to read at a very young age.

In order to capture your child's interest for educational books, develop the habit of reading aloud to them. They will find it interesting as you read to them different stories and imitated various characters. Set aside a specific time of day dedicated to reading alone. This will have the children something to look forward to every day. Once the children develop a love for reading, they will also develop the initiative to read on their own as they grow old. Reading is especially good to unwind and relax, that's why many parents prefer to read bedtime stories to their children.

Another good way to get your child exposed to the wonders of educational books is to take them to libraries. This will both teach them to develop appreciation for good books and learn the responsibility of returning them properly. If they're old enough to select their books and reading materials, you can encourage them to get their own library cards so they can explore and borrow on their own. Show them the area in the library where children's educational books are found.

One important tip to get the attention of your children is to engage them every time you read stories. When you read with feelings and emotions and, at the same time, interact with children as you tell stories, they are challenged to use their imagination and listen intently. As you read educational books, includes your children as part of the characters in the story. This will thrill them so much that they will want to participate in the story-telling until they learn to tell the story on their own. There are movies that were created based on best-selling books. It would help to buy these books and watch the movie with your kids. This will help them to relate the movie to the original story in the book. This will test their memory and understanding of what they watch and read.

Children should be able to associate reading with fun; as such, you should know how to create a good environment that's conducive to reading and learning. It's best to set up a separate area in your house or room that's dedicated to reading and studying. Provide the appropriate furniture such as study table, chair and book shelves for all the educational books that you will buy for your children. Do not force them to read when they're not in a good mood as this might make them develop negative notions about reading and studying.

There's no specific age set to introduce your child to reading; but the earlier you expose them to the beauty of books and the wonders of reading, the better it is for them.

Finding a good collection of educational books that are effective and reasonably priced. Visit DHChildrensBooks.com to find books that your kids will surely love to read.

Follow These 7 Tips On How To Find A Life Coach!

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Before you find a life coach, it's important to understand exactly what they do. A good life coach is someone who will listen to you, observe your habits, customize a plan for you, and support you on your road to success. If you are in a slump, and need a "push" into the right direction, then this type of service will provide you with the help you need.

Life coaching programs are designed to help you understand your strengths and overcome your weaknesses. Many people hit a dead end in their careers and life in general. During coaching sessions, you can discover WHY you are at a dead end, and what you need to do to move forward. As long as you choose the right coach, you can get the support you need as you try and move forward.

With that said, here are some tips on how to find a life coach:

1. Decide whether you want to go through a company or hire an independent coach. If you go through a company, be sure to inquire about their hiring processes. Do they screen their coaches? Do the individuals they hire have certification?

2. Certification is another important factor. Not all people who claim to be "life coaches" actually have a certification from an accredited school. Certified coaches have been thoroughly trained to provide clients with the best service and support possible. Certification requirements typically include over 300 hours of training, 100 hours of which include face-to-face training.

3. An effective coach should be able to provide references from his or her past clients. You should be able to contact some former clients to ask them if they are satisfied and happy with the coach's influence on their lives. Never acquire the services of someone who can't provide you with references upon request.

4. Not all coaches will be a good match for you. Some specialize in specific areas. You need to choose someone with whom you can form a strong connection. Be sure to speak directly potential coaches. Some offer complimentary sample sessions. Try out a few before making your final decision. Hire the professional who seems to understand your problems the most.

5. Ideally, you should choose someone with whom you can speak face to face. Talking over the phone with a life coach can be helpful, but it's not as effective. There are professionals and companies available all across the globe, so, if you can, try to find a good coach in your area.

6. The coach you choose should be available whenever you need help. He or she should have coaching as a full time job. A lot of trainers and speakers only offer consultation services when their other work dries up. It can take hundreds of hours of coaching for you to get your life back on track, so you need somebody who will always be around.

7. Before making your decision, make sure you understand exactly how the coaching is going to work, and how much you will be paying. Different coaches have different rates. Some offer payment plans, and some require money upfront. They should work out a flexible program that is compatible with your own schedule. Now, cheap doesn't mean better. A coach who doesn't charge very much is probably either inexperienced or struggling to find clients. Maybe both. Keep in mind that you will get what you pay for.

For more information, visit http://www.theultimategameoflife.com/! If you follow these tips, you will find a life coach who will help you get your life back on track. Good luck!

The Top Reasons For Choosing Online Degrees Versus Traditional Degrees

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

If you find yourself hemming and hawing over whether you should attend a brick and mortar university or take the plunge and enroll into an online school, knowing the reasons why almost six million students registered for online classes in 2010 could help you with your decision. Whether you are single or married, have children or a full time job, your current responsibilities and favorite hobbies do not need to be shelved in order for you to seek higher education. The following reasons for choosing online degrees highlight the main benefits of earning educational measures through the use of an internet connection and personal computer.

Flexibility is touted as the most cited reason for students choosing to earn online degrees. By having a flexible learning schedule, other definite commitments like work, family and certain social events can easily be met while still affording you the opportunity to earn your degree. Class schedules set up at universities you physically attend are generally rigid and cannot be missed without sacrificing the course material. This is avoided with online courses as you have the option to learn your lessons anywhere you have access to a computer with an internet connection at any time of day or night. This can be particularly inviting to those who find themselves to function better during the night or early morning hours when most people are asleep.

Another reason for choosing to earn online degrees is the access to not only quality course materials but access to the teacher as well. With an internet connection, you are afforded the opportunity to download course materials when you need them. You can also store the materials on your computer's memory or a separate hard drive and have them backed up so that nothing will be lost when needed for future reference. Teachers can also be accessed through email if you have any particular questions or concerns. Another benefit to using the internet for schooling is the availability of discussing any complications you may have come across in your learning with other students. By figuring out solutions with other people, regardless of how you come together, you can have a sense of community even in the virtual world.

School books have become increasingly expensive over the years for students. Tuition, housing, transportation and food costs have also been on the rise in recent years and are all reasons why choosing online degrees can be beneficial to you and your wallet. By earning a degree online, you may be able to save more than half of the normal cost of attending a physical college. This reason alone is why many students have chosen the online way of learning.

Alexander Sutton knows all too well how hard it can be to get started in the professional world. Optical Telescopes Enable Vital Astrophysical Research

Advances in astronomy are directly related to changing means of observation and our expanding understanding of the universe through the examination of the electromagnetic spectrum emitted by the objects of what's often referred to as the "cosmic zoo." The optical domain has traditionally preferred a body heated to temperatures of hundreds to thousands of degrees - that is the case for most of the planetary bodies and stars - emitting most of its radiation in the visible or near infrared parts of the spectrum. The implementation of large optical telescopes sensitive to these wavelengths is therefore imperative for astrophysical research.

Succeeding the instruments built in the 1970s and 1980s, a new generation of large ground optical telescopes came to be: The first one, the Keck-I, with an aperture of 8.2 m, was set in to service in May 1993 and was followed by many other instruments with openings of more than eight meters.

An optical telescope (from the Greek (tele) meaning 'far' and (skopein) meaning "look see") is an optical instrument for increasing the brightness and the apparent size of objects to observe. The role as receiver of light is often more important than the magnification as it allows a glimpse of celestial objects visible or invisible hard spot with the naked eye.

These telescopes are mainly used in astronomy because their settings do not make it favorable for the observations of very distant objects and those moving relatively slowly.

A linguistic accuracy may be needed here because of possible confusion in the use and translation of the word telescope, especially when consulting documentation or manuals in English as this word refers to two types of optical telescope instruments:

* One, the "refracting optical telescope" means the telescope whose objective consists of a set of lenses, either only one term diopter (refractive)
* The other, "Reflecting telescope" means an observation device whose mirror (reflection) is a key component.

The telescope was designed in Italy in 1586; this invention is very likely due to the optician Giambattista della Porta. In August 21, 1609 the Italian astronomer Galileo presented at the top of the tower, the first telescope to the Doge Leonardo Donato and members of the Senate His fellow German Johannes Kepler perfected the principle by providing an optical two convex lenses.
Replica of the telescope 6 inch Isaac Newton presented to the Royal Society in 1672.

In a telescope, a concave mirror is used to form the image. In 1663, the Scottish mathematician James Gregory was the first to propose the formula of the telescope with a magnification due to the secondary. Nevertheless, Mersenne himself had anticipated a system in which primary and secondary were parabolic; the exit pupil was located on the secondary, which served as the eyepiece, but the field was very low.

Today's technology can be very confusing, creating some challenges for consumers trying to find the best technology at affordable prices. You can take advantage of Alexander Sutton's knowledge of the tech industry and apply it to your consumer experience for budget-friendly, state-of-the-art solutions.
